As the Senior Art Director you are responsible for overseeing the creative strategy for our brand and marketing efforts. You are a seasoned design professional who is a master in the creative process; you can effortlessly shift your focus to support business strategy and deliver world-class experiences. You’re an experienced and humble leader who is passionate about growing and inspiring a talented team of designers. You always provide precise creative strategies for achieving brand excellence due to your strong understanding of emerging technologies and knowledge of current design trends.

This position is open to candidates in Vancouver.


Let's talk logisitics. Are you located in Vancouver? Are you a Canadian Citizen or a holder of a valid work permit?

  • You have 7+ years experience in a software, digital marketing or agency environment
  • You have 3+ years experience in managing a creative team (1 yr + in Art Direction / Management is preferred)
  • You have a compelling portfolio that showcases innovative approaches to Marketing, Brand and UI Design
  • You understand how to design for the modern web browser and have a basic understanding of HTML & CSS
  • You get Digital Marketing - PPC, SEM, SEO, AdWords, Conversion Optimization, CRM’s, and any other acronym we throw at you
  • You have experience with Digital Marketing Outcomes (ebooks, WhitePapers, Banner sizes, Landing Page Principles)
  • You have experience in Brand Management & Creation of Graphic Standards
  • You’re a proficient writer who clearly understands  the differences in Editorial and Technical Copywriting
  • You have an absolute mastery of fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines and principles
  • Did someone say Eagle Eye? You have extreme attention to detail and aesthetic sensibilities
  • You’re a bit of a design translator and are an expert in clearly articulating concepts to varying levels of stakeholders
  • You’re comfortable with being resourceful and delivery focused in ambiguous situations
  • You have a proven record  in creating synergy between tone, voice and visual design
  • You’re enthusiastic about  utilizing a diverse set of approaches to creative problem solving, developing concepts & communicating ideas




  • You’ll work closely with our Content Director and Lead Designer to raise the bar in regards to our visual design, while ensuring consistency in all designs across all marketing squads (design, information architecture, audio design, production)
  • You’re a teacher at heart, and love contributing to the innovative development of the creative department; mentoring and coaching team members through project development and performance management
  • You’ve got courage, so we can count on you to collaborate with and challenge stakeholders on their ideas, and strategies to ensure we raise the quality of our brand experiences
  • You’ll help us keep things fresh by becoming a champion of, and contributing to, Unbounce’s constant brand evolution
  • You’ll support  other areas of marketing including product development, brand positioning and strategic marketing partnerships
  • You’ll support the Lead Designer & designers in presenting concepts, wireframes, findings, and other output, to a variety of audiences,  facilitating discussions and input
  • You’ll be responsible for monitoring and maintaining visibility of design tasks. That includes planning and facilitating both customer and stakeholder workshops to gather relevant inputs to inform the solution
  • You’ll collaborate with multiple development squads and maintain thorough knowledge of a wide range of concurrent projects. Kind of like an Unbounce Encyclopedia.
  • You know a thing or two about fostering delight in our working environments and supporting a high performance, constantly delivering culture
